Prof. Stela Miteva-Dinkova is a distinguished guitarist and longtime teacher in AMDFA‘Prof. Assen Diamandiev”, Plovdiv (Bulgaria).
Born into a family of musicians, she began studying the guitar with her father, Blagoi Mitev and continues in the Music High School ‘Dobri Hristov’, located in Varna (Bulgaria) in the guitar class of Lyuben Haralambiev. She refines her performing skills in the master classes of Abel Carlevaro, Martin Renert, Nikita Koshkin, George Vassilev etc.Graduated with master’s degree in ‘Performing arts’ at the Academy of Music and Dance Art in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Stela Dinkova is a strong exponent of the Bulgarian guitar music. She compiled and publishedmany books and collections with music from Bulgarian composers: Rossen Balkanski, Vladimir Vlaev, Plamen Arabov, Vassil Belezhkov etc.
She presented and promoted new pieces from Bulgarian authors on her concerts at festivals across Europe, America and Africa. ‘Classical guitar’ magazine describes her, as ‘highly talented and quietly charismatic’. She is a soloist of various symphony orchestras in Bulgaria (Plovdiv, Pleven, Pazardzhik, Blagoevgrad).
She recorded in BNT and BNR. Participates, as a member and chairman of the jury at national and international competitions in Bulgaria and abroad.
