Lucía González Cuellar, known in the world of flamenco as “La Flaca”, began dancing at the age of 3. At the age of 8 she began her training at the “NuevaDanza Esther Valdenebro” School where she began to prepare to obtain the APDE “Association of Spanish Dance Teachers” degree, currently studying the 7th year.

At the same time, she studied at the Flamenco School of Andalusia (EFA), taking the 1st professional course at the “Flamenco La Truco” Institute. She also trained at the “Cátedra del Flamenco”, where she took classes with Rafael Jiménez “El Tato”.

During her training she has taken classes with great teachers of flamenco dance, among the more notable being Eliezer Truco Pinillos (alias “La Truco”), Daniel Caballero, Monica Perdomo, Esther Valdenebro, Andina Melo Dupak, Cristian Pérez and Rafael Jiménez (alias “El Tato”) Susana Lupiañez (“La Lupi”), María Juncal, Antonio Canales, Belén López, Rubén Olmos, Patricia Guerrero, Concha Jareño, Jesús Carmona, Marco Flores, and others.

Together with her school “NuevaDanza” run by Esther Valdenebro, she participated in the “Vive Tu Sueño” contest in which they won the first cadet prize in the national phase and got a direct pass to the international final held in the city of Rome. She has participated in other contests such as “La Sierra Se Mueve” where she and her group received the first and second prize in the cadet category.

During her training she has received scholarships from the El Lucero School of Dance and Flamenco, Tablao Flamenco “La Manuela” and Tablao Flamenco “El Cortijo” where she has had the opportunity to perform on several occasions. In 2020, she was also awarded a scholarship by the Flamenco School of Andalusia (EFA) at the gala for young talents where she was sponsored by Saúl Quirós. The following year she was selected by the EFA to participate in the young talent gala that would take place at the Madrid Flamenco Theater

“La Flaca” has danced since 2020 in some of the most important tablaos and theaters in Spain, including the Madrid Flamenco Theater, Tablao de La Villa, Tablao “Sala 4” (Amor De Dios), Sala Temple, Tablao Flamenco “La Manuela”, Flamenco Taberna “El Cortijo”, Tablao Flamenco “La Truco”, Tablao Flamenco “El Lucero”, Flamencura Solidarity Festival, among others.

She also performs with the Flamenco Group “Quelañí” in different places in the province of Segovia, together with guitarist Daniel Hernández, singers such as Raúl Jiménez and Sara Díaz and Antonio Maya on percussion.
