Cassie Martin began playing guitar at the age of 5. After training at the Conservatoire d’Orléans, she entered Gérard Abiton’s class in Paris, with whom she studied for 4 years. At 17, she entered Olivier Chassain’s class at the CNSM in Paris, where she obtained her Master’s degree in Performing Arts in 2024.
In 2020, she is one of the Eurostrings artists and opens up to the European scene. In 2022 and 2024, she takes part in Gautier Capuçon’s “Un été en France 2022” tour.
In 2023, she was chosen by Sergio Assad to represent France in his project “The Woman and the guitar”.
At the age of 22, she won the ICMA-Classeek 2024 Award and is the winner of numerous international competitions, most recently: 1st Prize at the GuitArt Plovdiv Competition 2023 (Bulgaria); 1st Prize at the Silesian Guitar Autumn 2022 in Poland; 1st Prize at the Forum Guitar Wien 2022 in Austria; 1st Prize at the Taiwan International Guitar Competition 2022; 1st Prize at the Alirio Diaz International Competition 2022 in Austria; 3rd Prize at the Antony International Guitar Competition in France; 3rd Prize at the Paris International Guitar Competition 2022.
Cassie Martin has performed at numerous festivals around the world: Argentina, China, Korea, Morocco, United States, Thailand, Germany, Austria, Poland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Belgium… with a repertoire ranging from early to contemporary music.
She has performed the greatest concertos with orchestra in France and Poland. A Savarez artist, Cassie plays on a guitar by luthier Daniel Friederich.
